Crookneck

The last of the day is almost gone, and it was hazy and murky and I thought I'd wasted another trip to photograph the glasshouses.  Then just as the sun dipped below the horizon, the faintest glow appeared on the trees in the foreground and the haze turned a murky orange.

Coonoorin from the north west.

This is a peaceful looking place and the scene is so vast. I read a couple of earlier posts and enjoyed those too.

Fair takes yer breath away, I must say. One can see why the original inhabitants of this country were so taken by the concept of a Dreaming that encompassed land and sky and animals.

Spectacular, Peter.

Gorgeous. I never fail to be awed by them - and your stories from last year really add to my whole appreciation of them.

Gosh, that's beautiful. Salute! she says, raising a glass of champagne.

thanks all! Of course I'm rather pleased that I was there that evening, and to top it off had a great time chatting to a few people who were waiting for the same moment!

Great shots ... we used to have a competition when we were kids on trips down to Brisbane to see who was first to spot them.
