Dunes, intruder

This particular flower is known as Singapore Daisy, clearly not a native.  A virulent interloper that escapes and wreaks havoc, even on the dunes.

Sometimes there is no need for an explanation!

Till tomorrow

A "tinny" sits under the trees waiting for tomorrow's tide, or perhaps this evening's sunset, when its owners will be out, fishing rods in hand.

Trying their luck

Sometimes we sit and wait,
sometimes, we just sit.

Paradise almost lost

Were it not for the anti-erosion work, the river may well have consumed the caravan park by now.

Fishin'

There's the sort of fishing where you hold your rod and flick lures, and there's the sort where the rod sits in a stand and you sort of hang around hoping something will bite.

Bus Shelter

We could plant a tree and have lovely dappled shade over those waiting for the bus, or we could build a shelter in glass and paint it to make the shadows look like leaves.......  they'd get wet in the rain if it was a tree!

Arcade Games in 3D

At first I couldn't believe what I was seeing.  It looked for all the world like one of those early electronic arcade games and the yellow team seemed to outnumber the orange team by a few men as well.

Little Boxes

I really should stop publishing photos like these, they provide a dreadfully exaggerated view of the density of the coast.  Before you know it people will be taking them seriously, and there is precious little development happening as it is.

Renovations

I suppose when 80's brick comes back into fashion it won't be too difficult to remove the render and paint.

Haven't I read somewhere... yes, that's it... what comes up, must come down.   I suppose if you skip schol to go kiteboarding you don't learn that stuff!

Reflections 5

I suspect this glass balcony is much more beautiful than it was conceived to be.  Sadly the lighting is only "just right" for an hour or two each day.
