About this blog
It's hard to imagine 2008 now. As the world financial crisis was starting to have an impact, the Sunshine Coast City was born with a population of about 250,000 people.
I had, in a world where cameras smartphones were a silly marketing thing which were sure to disappear, and hybrid cars were insanely expensive but returning less than six litres per hundred kilometres in economy, bought an enormously expensive digital single lens reflex camera.
It was a very cool thing with a sensor of 10.8 megapixels. Presumably the ".8" was terribly important, implying that it was incredibly more sensitive than a camera with a mere 10.7 megapixels. Anyway, I had the camera, and needed the practice and without any other agenda, decided to publish a photo a day no matter how difficult that may be.
The result is this blog. I did think that given time it may magically evolve into something of use, but it's clear that even after eight years I have no idea where it's going, neither do I care particularly. If it had a purpose, it would no longer be a hobby.
About the Sunshine Coast
My world is filled with good intention, which is why after eight years, rather than reinventing the wheel, I present these few links which should answer any questions which the curious may wish to ask. Of course I am always willing to answer any others, or even to photograph any person place or thing should that be require.
