Once were golf course.

The buildings are probably no more than a kilometre away as the crow flies.  Between us and them is a vast, almost barren plot which is currently having lots of work done to create the new Town Centre.

A green fields centre they call it, in reference to the fact that it is being created from a clear piece of land.  It will be interesting to see how much green field is left at the end of the day.   The irony of its new use is that no matter how little green is left, more people will be able to access it as it is no longer the private domain of golf club members.

Hopefully a lot of green space is preserved. One less golf course in the world is a very good thing.
