Nipper Boards
Surf Clubs have junior divisions for primary school kids, called "Nippers" which is slang for young children, and also the claws of a crab or yabbie. They have national competitions in all the grown up disciplines with all the equipment scaled down appropriately.

Great colours in this photo. Nippers is a fab activity for the little ones.
Nice photo. It makes a neat post for today. Reminds me that you are ending the fun season and we are beginning.

Thanks!
Fortunately for us, winter doesn't mean too much weather-wise. It gets a little cooler, sometimes I even wear a light pullover when we go out, and the Nippers play other sports of course.
I'm really at a loss to find photo subjects which will reflect the cooler climate!
We'll see!
Looks like fun. I wonder if my grandsons in Bondi will grow up to be Nippers.
I hope they get the chance dina, it is a great way for kids to stay fit, and learn to compete in a serious/not too serious way. Besides, it gives their parents an excuse to hang around at the beach for a few hours each weekend, and that's not too bad either!
Hehe, right. And everyone in his "cozzie"? I love the slang of Oz.
