I was standing in the carpark opposite this building, focussing on the reflections when I realised the little blue sign read "Police Only".
Then it occurred to me that in many other "free" countries, I would have been at best chastised for standing and taking a photograph of Police Headquarters. Thankfully this doesn't happen in Maroochydore, and I am free to observe the drabness and general unkempt demeanour of the whole place, and feel sympathetic towards those who work within.
Even the sky and tree force their reflections (and that's not water by the way) outwards through grubby glass and a dirt stained facade. Surely a tiny budget for an annual clean isn't asking too much of the government to give those that work within a little pride in their workplace?
But for all that, I grateful that I am free to write this as well!
