Sadly yet another grounding of a fishing vessel this week, resulting in the loss of a life.
Apparently the crewman fell overboard in gale conditions, while the rest of the crew slept below, unaware until the boat steamed into the surf on Mooloolaba Beach.
This is the same ocean and same beach that seems so refreshing and calm on most days, and this picture was taken yesterday after the swell has had two full days to subside.

I agree with Jilly. I didn't hear about this on the news or from my mother either. Poor fellow. You must have had some rough surf up there lately.
