Shadows
This was supposed to be the last week of the the summer holidays, but Covid has been casting a bit of a shadow over those plans, so the start of school has been delayed a couple of weeks.

White Face
A slathering of zinc cream will keep out those nasty UV rays.
For those of you in cooler climes, that's a sunsuit made of a lycra kind of material, not a wetsuit - it's 35° out of the water and 28° in at this time of year.Tuesday 18 January 2022
That Pile of Flotsam
I thought it had been gathered for someone to light a bonfire (which of course is not allowed) but it seems it's just a naturally occurring pile of stuff, that drifts from one spot to the next every other day. Perhaps it's a campfire gone rogue?

Sport
Nothing brings out the urge to hit a ball with a bat quite like a day at the beach.

An Eclectic Bunch
I do hold fears for the girl in the foreground, who may well be the colour of her bikini in an hour or two.

Guardian of The Galaxy (and our safety).
Not everyone believes the sign, particularly at peak holiday time when people seem bent on self destruction, or worse "don't want to disappoint the kids".
No one closes a beach for fun!

Overcast
I've been missing my EU home of late, so any chance to photograph without bright shining sun, I take!

Helter Shelter
This is an image of a shelter shed in a park not far from where we live. It's a composition from thirty-one different viewpoints and a version of it was a successful entry in my camera club's end of year competition "in the style of Catalan artist, Pep Ventosa".
Perhaps it also serves to illustrate the way social media affects our view on life.
Even things which should be very clear and obvious can be obscured and appear to be something they are not if enough slightly different points of view are overlaid.
If one is not careful, one can find oneself spinning off in an entirely different direction to the intended path, on one filled with blurred half-truths and mis-direction.
May your 2022 be filled with clarity and devoid of social media "research"!
