A shell, no longer in it's natural environment, awaits purchase as a decor item.
Why do we feel compelled to have things around us that remind us of where we are? I would have thought that at our place the sound of the ocean and the salt build up on the windows would be a fair indication, but apparently not.

I think its our desire to have a bit of nature with us...
And of course some who visit live far from any ocean.
