Peace on Earth
There seems to be great irony in the fact that Boxing Day for our family often is the one that better serves for reflection and a little still in our lives.
We avoid the mayhem at the sales and just chill, happy that our seasonal obligations are over, and to have a few days off.
When we were children, before Christmas trees were made of tinsel, we used to steal a she-oak cutting from where ever we could find one, and for me at least, the smell of Christmas Day, that of a day old branch, is just one of the things shared today with our adult children.
This one was spared, and can be found on the little path near the beach at Moffat Headland.
