Gold Fish

I very nearly made this my "yellow" theme picture, arguing that a goldfish is really not gold, since fool's gold is yellow and since it was April Fool's day yesterday, and in some countries it was "poisson d'avril" (I hope I got that right!). In the end, it seemed as though I was stretching the whole thing a bit too far.

So here is a soon to be ex-goldfish in my pond.

A prelude to tomorrow's skywatch!

Yes, I have followed the BoM site during the night, and your area is really being inundated. Just keeps on hammering you. I checked on my bro' near Kempsey but the storm heading his way broke up.

How you doing?

That's a very good picture. It's very difficult to photograph fish at exactly the moment they surface!

Julie, we're warm and dry.

I spread 2 cubic metres of topsoil on Wednesday, and it's in the river now, but compared to the floods and other damage suffered by others we can't complain.

Five inches in a day in the old language is moderate rainfall, we get that once or twice a year, some have had eight to twelve yesterday.

More to come today!
