Attractive Power Lines

Having worked for many years in the property development industry, I can never understand what people were thinking when they didn't spend the money to put the power lines underground.

"Let's just plant trees in front of them" someone said!

I don't know why more power lines aren't buried either.

A few years ago I visited Napier NZ which was virtually destroyed by an earthquake in 1931. When the city was rebuilt the power lines were put underground. Now that's city planning.

I didn't even notice, it had to be pointed out to me.

OMG Mooloolaba? A canoe crew from Mooloolaba just raced here this past weekend. The "masters" men of Mooloolaba came in second for their age group! As for the powerlines, I wish someone would cut them down in front of my house. They obstruct my view of the ocean! =)

Totally agree with you.

Totally with you on the buried power line thing. In the US where I lived for many years it was always a problem during the storms that are so frequent. The trees or tree parts would fall on the power lines thereby disrupting service for extended periods.

Thank you for your visit to Villigen!
