Camouflage

A shrub in Hastings Street tries it's level best to look like a lady in a green top.

No matter how out of step with the local architectural vernacular it may be, the Sheraton Noosa has some lovely ice-cream cakey for the enjoyment of those of us who look out for that sort of thing.

Another Sun Hood

I just love the way that steel turns to shadow and then reflection. It's all so obvious in a photograph, yet many people seem to miss the poetry as they wander past looking at the dresses in the shops below!

Consistency

I am always bemused at they who spend many thousands of dollars on hand carved shop fittings, then cover up their own expensive branding with a bit of computer printout urging me not to enjoy myself.

Protest

In a sea of bikinis, it seemed odd to see someone so over dressed.

ATM

The ATM (Automatic Teller Machine) looks strangely like a girl in a bikini. Well I suppose this is Noosa, and most things look like a girl in a bikini after a while!

This is either a collection of mannequins on display in Hastings Street, or a convention of headless persons. I asked them, but had no response.

Even when the view was framed with hard man-made surfaces, the hint of green beyond reminded me I was in Hastings Street!

The smaller the courtyard, the taller the palm it seems. I had not noticed them before, because the trees were much smaller, the green less intense, the building edges more visible.

While wandering the streets of Noosa as I have done often in the past, I suddenly became aware of all the strange little courtyards and light wells filled with palms. The more I looked the more I found.

The pair of green aliens stand mummified outside a real estate agent's office, waiting for a mothership that will never come.

Through the fence

The fence is barely adequate, repairs may not last another summer, now only every second board remains. Strangely the Dracena's beyond are new plantings, strange because they wen't out of fashion a decade or two ago.

Everything old is new again. Next it will be the fence's turn!
