One more piece of bushland.
Just because when a photo turns up that somehow actually feels like the bushland I was in at the time I took the shot, it deserves to be posted.

Chicken or egg?
This piece poses a question to me: What came first?
Did the artist wake up one morning with the idea for the sculpture buzzing around in his head, and then when he was finished think: "Hey that looks like the symbol for infinity!" Or was he given a brief along the lines of "Produce a work representing infinity.." and this was his cynical (or ironic perhaps?) response?
In any case, it's called Infinity and it was created by Jaroslava Sicko-Fabrici from Slovakia, which is the only reason I will let him get away with having "sicko" in his name!

Another Random Road
Another random road shot. This one is Bradman Avenue at Maroochydore.
All that stands between the houses is a set of power lines, four lanes of traffic travelling too quickly (when there is any traffic that is), and a bike path.

You know what it's like....
There you are, about to get into the water, when a wave appears from nowhere aimed squarely at you.
Why anyone wants to go swimming at shark feeding time is a little beyond me, but I guess it keep our gene pool in line.

Normal sunset transmission resumes.
After two days of purple skies, this is how sunsets are supposed to look according to the brochures. The patch of blue says I've probably pushed my luck with the camera sensor shooting into the sun, but I'm sure it'll be fine.

What gives with the purple sky I wonder?
Red sky at night - sailors' delight. But purple?

Oysters
There are oysters out there on the boathouse pile, but I for one am not going to wade out to get them. Neither is anyone else judging by their age.

New mangrove
A new mangrove rises above the water, presumably to take the place of the one whose life is spent. That's just the way life goes.
The little brown sticks aren't old plants by the way, they are the roots of the old tree reaching for the sky as mangrove roots are wont to do.

The Dicky in Demise
Some of it has been taken away, to where I know not.
This is now all that remains of the SS Dicky, and soon it too will be gone, leaving only it's propeller in the park nearby, and of course its name.

Three heads are better than one.
I have no idea what they are thinking as they contemplate the rescue craft and the wreck of the Dicky, but I like the reflections.

Tracks
I may have accidentally told my grandson that these were crocodile tracks, chasing the humans up the beach.
They aren't of course.... they are turtle tracks.
Or maybe they were made by the Lifesavers' quad bike.

Shameful
No, the sculpture is called The Cycle by Seiji Mizuta in 2005.
What is shameful that not only did I add a spiral blur to overstate the obvious, I actually left it there and uploaded the photo.
THEN I thought about using it as my theme day post at the beginning of next month when the theme is "Revolution".
Sorry.

Tendrils
I'm fairly certain when a leaf is emerging on a fern that it's not called a tendril, but I love the sound of that word and am happy to have been able to use it twice.

Anything green is my scene
Just a bit of scrub with bracken, and I find it a great challenge to represent the green the way it is. Too much saturation and it looks like something from the northern hemisphere, not enough and it looks like a forest with not enough colour!
This is fairly right on my monitor, so I hope it is on others!

At one hundred clicks.
Have you ever been barrelling down a motorway and had the the feeling someone was watching you?
I managed to snap this shot of the inflatable Sumo-hero while travelling at a hundred kilometres per hour without actually killing anyone. I was quite happy with the accidental framing of the photo too, since I wasn't exactly looking through the viewfinder. It's not legal to use a mobile telephone while driving here, but it's OK to use a camera apparently.

Eudlo Muso's
On the first Sunday of the month there's Music and Beer in the Eudlo Hall from one till four (in the afternoon). I'm not sure about the apostrophe in "muso's" though.

The main street in Eudlo intersects with another in such a scarcely trafficked way, that one imagines that were one to meet another car it would be rather surprising to both parties.

Not Ettamogga
It is half interesting in a voyeuristic sort of way, watching all the artificial icons of the Coast's tourist industry slowly fading away. The "Ettamogga Pub" was never in Etamogga. That was a fictional place dreamt up by a cartoonist half a century and more ago.
Two replicas were built at opposing ends of the country. This was one of them until a licensing dispute (well ok, apparently the owners were tired of paying license fees) saw the name removed from the building and the vintage car parked on its roof removed.
I suspect the building is distinctive enough that the lawyers will not be satisfied.
Time will tell.

My camera-shy self portrait.
Yes it's definitely me, and I need a hair cut.
The sign in the hat-stall mirror says "Wow! That look's Great!"
From a marketing perspective, it told me that even though I had no hat on, so I walked away happy. From an apostrophe perspective things weren't quite so great.
