Black and White

It's interesting how timeless a monochrome photograph can make a streetscape look. It will be even more interesting to review this image in twenty years time and realise that it wasn't timeless at all.

In some parts of the world I am sure the Ibis is not as ill-considered as it is here, in fact while you are reading this we might even be in a Hotel bearing its name.

I'm not sure what a portrait style image will do to the format of this page either - if fifteen years I don't think it's happened before, but I'm sure it will be messy.

One could be forgiven for having the impression that I've lost interest in this blog. I haven't, but the busyness of the twenty first century is taking its toll! I think I'll be back before year's end so thanks for your patience.

It looks as though we are going to follow up a long hot wet summer, with a long hot wet winter too, but the beach is always a pleasant place to be.

Comings and Goings

Life seems to have returned to it's good old chaotic self, so by the time you see this I will be far far away from home, but I'll be back in a week or so.
