Congratulations Eric!

There are a few very Australian things about this picture. Bare feet for one, and a bicycle chain devoid of any lubrication for another.
I'm not sure whether I've succeeded in capturing Eric's style, after trawling back through several pages of Paris Photos it's clear the light is VERY different to here, and I posted this picture because it reminded me of one that I took last year for my Postcards blog, one that is much closer to the way Eric would portray things I think: a bicycle melting in Paris' summer heatwave, 20 August 2009

Love this melting bicycle, Peter. The entire tribute brought a smile to my face. I did not realise that we Aussies were so bad with bicycle chains!
The melting bike is wonderful.
The Sunshine Coast delivers great light, although it may not be like that in Paris, it is warming to look at from up here in the cold hemisphere :-). I love bike shots, period, so they both appeal to me very much (rusty chains and all). That second shot really looks "Teninesque" as Julie puts it.

I do love the melting bike. Then again, bare feet are hard to resist.
