Loved
I'm the first to admire towns and buildings which display a hard earned patina, a lack of lustre which reflects a long and useful history, but I'm not sure that some of Nambour fits that category.
I'm not sure that it just doesn't reflect a certain lack of pride, or perhaps more charitably a lack of understanding that a coat of paint and perhaps a repair to a sign here and there could well improve the business of the town.
Or am I an unnecessarily harsh critic?

Not unnecessarily harsh, Peter. Not at all. On the money, I'd say!
P, all I can say is your are doing remarkably well at making Nambour look very boring.
I don't think you are too harsh. In the economic climate today, one should make every effort to make a business attractive to potential customers.
Dear Joan Elizabeth - in Pete's defence, as an innocent bystander - Nambour is pretty boring - he doesn't need to try to make it look boring. Sadly it is a very run-down and neglected town, that I would say is on the verge of dying if the community doesn't make some drastic changes soon.
Apologies if you live in Nambour :)
Certainly not intending to offend anyone who lives there, as i'm sure there are some nice parts, just not in the centre of town.
