Spring

Spring is a strange time in our part of the world.   It brings with it moderate temperatures (approaching thirty degrees C), usually little rain, cloudless skies, and a sort of listlessness that promises little.    Colours become muted, and lost in the afternoon haze, the sky annoyingly subdued.

Perhaps I am being annoyingly ungrateful!

Glasshouse Mountains (the village!).

Subdued indeed, but quite lovely.

We could use less rain in these parts now.

well, I did try to leave a comment about the jacaranda trees brightening things up with their blue purple colour around the landscape here in Spring, if they are allowed to live and bloom, these days increasingly being declared a pest, but the identifying thing beat me, lets see if this works.

They seemed to start flowering quite early this year I thought, at the end of September.
