Danger - Sharks


After lots of rain, the river stains the surf brown. They say it is dangerous to swim in these conditions, that sharks are abundant at these times.

I have no reason to doubt them, but people still do, and the sharks seem to leave them alone for the most part.

And the mix of water colours is quite nice in a strange way.

I think I'd stay on the "shark free" beach with my camera pointed at the surfers, just like you!

Oh, and I thought yesterday's waves were quite terrific. Great shot.

I saw waves like those once when I was on Fraser Island, and you could see sharks swimming along in the wave. Very scary, and quite good at keeping one out of the water. Not others though.
