It's a fairly open stretch of beach, and the lifeguards have a little comfort as they watch over bathers.
This station is manned by professional lifeguards daily, not to be confused with the volunteer surf Lifesavers who do a sterling job on weekends and during school holidays.

It looks a little isolated, but being up high like that is probably great for keeping an eye out for swimmers in trouble.
