Fig



In some parts of the forest the light almost disappears, but the occasional searchlight beam blinks through the canopy of leaves above.

Fig trees are terrific, aren't they? They are all over Sydney. This image of yours looks like part of it is B&W and part of it is colour.

I like the light ...

Mo, it's the little black one that's found throughout the rainforest.

Julie, the tree is in deep shade, and has a slight tinge of green in reality, I could have fixed it by adding a touch of saturation, but I really liked it like this.

I just got lucky on the day. The sun just seemed to move wherever I wanted to.

It should be noted that I've been there at other times of the day and came away with nothing.

I wonder if that big old fig tree is still there at the tewantin pub.
I'll be able to see for myself soon - celebrating my mum's 60th up at Noosaville (i can't wait!)
