The Longest Shadow on the Shortest Day

Yesterday was the shortest day of the year in the Southern Hemisphere, so I went off chasing poetry, but all I found was my shadow just before sunset. My shadow is usually pretty long anyway, but today it appeared to be running towards the sunrise!

This is my one hundredth daily photo, which is something of a milestone as well I think, and it's sort of nice that it's marked by the winter solstice.

How appropriate for your 100th post that we should see your shadow. I love the photo but of course, we should be able to see YOU too! Congratulations, Peter. It is indeed a milestone.

I do visit and I do comment and I was here. I did look at your picture(s) and I did read what you wrote about them. I could say how great you are and how beautiful your work is but alas I would soon run out of things to say on the next blog I visited, so I just left this to prove I stopped and said a few words on Sunday.

My Rheumatoid Arthritis hurts so I am using the same message for all.

Congrats on reaching your 100th post. Has been a pleasure to spend a couple of minutes each day with your photo's.

Last night, the sun set for me at 10pm. It is sad to see it head back in the other direction.

Congratulations on the 100th! Thanks for some great photos, for stopping by, but most of all, thanks for teaching me something about the Sunshine Coast!

Are you really that tall?

I have something a little special tomorrow to help announce the arrival of a new site of mine,
