A Street in Transition
It's a bit of a challenge, holding a market in a street which has disappeared for half of its length, but the traders and customers all seem to be taking it in their stride. I'm guessing that the work won't be finished in time for that all so important Christmas trade which will be quite a blow for the shops in the street which rely on that annual surge.
It's a street in transition, which is a not so subtle reference to today's City Daily Photo time theme day. For lots of different interpretations of that theme check this link..

It's strange for those of us in the northern stretches of the planet to think of Christmas and shirt sleeves! Terrific shot.
Thanks @WilliamKendall - for that very reason I've added a weather widget on the "about" pages. You may be interested to watch our weather approach 40°c in the coming week! One day, we'd love to see what Christmas looks like among the white stuff!
Good post.
I agree with William. Here we have +3C today and plenty of rain. I understand why lots of people are heading for the Canary islands and other nice places this time of year, if there are possibilities for a holiday this time of year.
We have all too many streets like this where I live. You chose a great interpretation of this theme.
Good choice for the theme!
