A Photo Every Day from the Sunshine Coast - Australia

The old lighthouse from the new.

I had to reverse the order of photographs so that the theme day shot fitted yesterday, but here is a shot I prepared earlier, of the old lighthouse, or at least a very small part of it.

Of most interest here I think are those little white dots on the horizon.   They are sandhills on Moreton Island, the third largest sand island in the world apparently, and a gentle day sail away.

  2. The island seems a long, long way off. The water looks inviting!
