Moffateers, the memorial


At the top of Moffat Headland is this simple sculpture, a bronze towel on an etched block of sandstone.  On the towel are the words "Moffateers" and "Plus" - the plus being a reference to the badges worn by those who had ridden waves at Moffs greater than a particular height.

I've never seen a "Plus 12", but they do exist.

    Hi Peter,
    I don't know how else to be in contact with the admins of CDP.org but I have left a message there twice now for the past few days. I am not sure if someone else checks them messages.
