Greenfields

When developers march in and take over vast tracts of land, the result is referred to as "green fields" development.   I have no idea why.

    And inevitably named after whatever got torn up. "Forest Glen", "Meadow View", or "Brook Side".

    Funny thing is @William Kendall, there's a suburb just up the road called "Forest Glen" and "Brookside" is 60 km away!
