The store in what was Dyer's Hall has closed. It's a sign of the times I'm afraid and there's no use getting all sentimental about it. If one isn't prepared to support small local businesses, preferring the convenience and price of the large supermarkets, one mustn't complain when one morning one drops in to buy something and finds the the little guy has closed.
Just another building to keep an eye on in coming years to discover how and if it is repurposed.

One does wonder what will become of it.
ReplyDeleteLooks like an atmospheric, delightful little store. We have only one left that I know of on my peninsula. It is at Red Hill. Shoreham and Bittern stores all closed over the last several years.
ReplyDeleteSpent a little time at Landsborough Friday night waiting for a family member off a train from Brisbane. Tried to take a photo of this building in the semi darkness. My camera wasn't very co-operative though, with fading light, dying batteries and no replacements ;-(
