Here is a photograph of a large supermarket in Maleny.
You can just see, below the carpark light standard, the red of the building signage through the trees. It is also the site of a platypus breeding area on the creek and was the subject of an intense battle, by "conservationists".
I use the parentheses advisedly because the battle was so illogical and so emotionally charged that all reason was lost, except within the court process.
I cannot say whether the water does actually taste "of supermarket" as I was told it would by one emotion charged young lady, but to the casual observer it appears that the impact has been minimal.
