Two of the three palms in this view are not found in Florida. The bushy one in the centre is a native to a tiny piece of Queensland near Cape Melville in the far north, it's a Woodyetia or "foxtail" palm and is one of millions sold around the world originally propagated from seed stolen from the the National Park established to protect it.
The other skinny one is an Alexander or Bangalow palm, not sure which, of the Archontophoenix family.

ReplyDeleteQuick way to tell Alex from Bangalow: Alex has whitish powder under its leaflets. Bangalow's leaflets are green both sides.
