New mangrove

A new mangrove rises above the water, presumably to take the place of the one whose life is spent.  That's just the way life goes.

The little brown sticks aren't old plants by the way, they are the roots of the old tree reaching for the sky as mangrove roots are wont to do.

Maroochy River.

  1. Fascinating textures, and a tree that's completely out of my experience, though they do have them in southern stretches of North America.
