Whipping up a storm

Blue skies and showers, with an awful lot of haze from the angry looking sea.   That just about sums up yesterday at the beach, with most beaches closed, but still hundreds or more turning up to spend Christmas day on the sand.

Three metre swells kept all but the foolhardy or diehards (or both) out of the water though.

    There's a big winter storm heading my way. All the newspapers are telling people to stay indoors.
