Shaded Verandahs

Living in this part of the world, we take shade for granted, if it's not in the sun, it's shadow.  Buildings traditionally have coverings over the footpaths to keep us out of the sun, and as a bonus out of the rain!

    yep, that is a goodie that one. I love the upstairs verandah on that hotel. I feel like I have been there before. In fact I am pretty sure that I have had a cup of tea up there!

    Where would be without the good old Australian verandah? A definite requirement in a house for me.
