Fountain
Technically it's a water play device, but in a land where mostly it doesn't rain, fountains are a bit thin on the ground. Actually most have been switched off and turned into dry sculptural pieces, and even this one has it's days of being rostered off.
On a busy day it would have been impossible to take a photograph without getting squirted, and yesterday it was difficult enough to time my dashing in and out between the somewhat random shots appearing out of the ground, but it's a fun way to find a theme photo.
City Daily Photo bloggers from around the world are photographing fountains today. Click here to view thumbnails for all participants

Sure looks like the kids are having fun.
ReplyDeleteGreat angle for what must be the most fun of all fountains we're likely to see today.
ReplyDeleteI just want to be a kid and get out there!
This is a brilliant shot for theme day. It would be a nice relief today too, since it will be a scorcher in Sydney.
ReplyDeleteOh, what we bloggers endure to take our photos. That looks like quite a strong stream!
ReplyDeleteLooks like great fun!
ReplyDelete... to be a child.

Looks like fun. Be a really good place to be right now.
ReplyDeleteGreat fun fountain. You are correct that it is hard to find a fountain in oz. This is a great picture.

ReplyDeleteThis looks like the most fun of any fountain today! I love the colours of your blog. They are so much Sunshine Coast!
ReplyDeleteNice angle and not such a bad way to cool off in this heat. I remember you doing another rather special shot at this place.
