Today's Skywatch from the Sunshine Coast
With Apologies to Jeffrey Smart 4 of 4

Reluctantly I have to admit that I quite like the lighting from this angle, and I quite like the way the evening sky composed itself around my subject too.

Sadly to get to this angle, one has to cross four lanes of freeway on foot, then climb the centre of the cloverleaf landscaping, none of which is in all probability strictly in compliance with all of the local bylaws!

"I'm sorry officer, I have no idea how I got here!"

  1. Very cool shot. I had to look at the rest of your shots to really understand what it was. But I like it; great sky (and bridge) shot.

  4. I like the angle and the lighting...the sky pulls it all together. Did you really cross all those lanes of traffic to do this?

  5. Yes Jacob! I had to cross a few freeways and climb one of those retaining wall thingies,

Getting down was easier as this part of the road was barely used so I walked down the slip road!

  9. As the Irish coach said to his team after a great game: you showed the three Ds: Dedication, Determination and De will to win!

Congratulations on not being knocked down - it's a fab shot.

  10. Oh, I often wonder would a policeman buy it if we said, "but I just had to get this shot for my blog!"
